Creating Bono East Region Music Industry

The moment is now, the time has come for Bono East Music to stand tall, we often ask: who is coming to help us revive, push or showcase our talented musicians who have taken upon themselves to survive through their naturally gifted talents? but the answer is right there in our faces but we intentionally don't give it an approach... there is no one but ourselves.

We can build create a better showbiz system for Bono in our own way and make it strong just like others have done it.

Straight on the point, Bono Ahafo Region can equally boast of most talented and most extraordinary creative youth scattered in the region without any help to put them in good shape and the most heartbreaking of all, some even don't get financial backing so their talents go hidden. We have some good music producers who are really making a great difference every day in people's lives, equally good musicians, not to talk of vibrant hardcore rappers, singers, composers, and songwriters. It's like we are voyaging in a sinking boat, we keep drowning and there is no rescue.

Upon seeing these huge obstacles, some group of people in Techiman municipality has taken this problem as a serious concern, so they called up some top media personalities who are our anchor in the music business sector here in Bono East, yesterday, 29th of January, 2020. They held a small meeting inside FreemanBitz Studios in Techiman around 7-9pm and the matter brought to board was the creation or setting up of our own BONO EAST MUSIC INDUSTRY.

In my own professional opinion, this is a very good idea. Having our own music industry is going to help us a lot, not to talk about the music artiste also benefiting awesomely from this initiative. We will be able to manage ours and promote our own local content. Having our own shows and award schemes will definitely help in the promotion of our artistes.

But now, so far as Bono East Region is concern we must include all other media personalities from the Region but not only Techiman to come together and sit for a final solution as to how we appoint our executives and that will be done through public voting.

After that, we will issue membership cards to everyone who will register as a member. Those who are eligible for membership are Music Managers, Music Producers, Radio Presenters/DJ'S, Event Organizers, etc. Artistes will not be permitted to vie for a position simply because they may do some things only to favor themselves.


Meetings will be held in different towns in the region. Our main aim is to focus on all creative arts in all the regions not only Techiman.

The door is now open to everyone who is interested in joining forces with us in establishing this evocative initiative.

There are people who are already making big changes to our music industry, this is the time for us to come under one umbrella to push this common initiative. We shouldn't be divided or be like everyone is doing his or her own thing. We must have a future and set up the legacy just as others have done it and you want to move there before you make a hit, while you can be here and make it big hit nationwide.
